Add the Yamaha SG-1802 by Yamaha to your setup — professional audio equipment trusted by engineers, musicians, and event production crews across South Africa.
Born in 1974, the Yamaha SG series of guitars have morphed into cult status. An early association with Carlos Santana proved it was competitive with USA made guitars, drawing attention to the fine Japanese craftsmanship that it truly deserves.
The Yamaha SG-1802GT guitar was designed with vintage influences in mind and was created for the guitarist that wants high-spec, modern playability and retro visuals.
High-Spec Construction
The stand out maple Gold Top on an African Mahogany body gives this Japanese made instrument a resonant and balanced deep warm tone with outstanding looks. The solid mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, delivers comfort and ease while navigating the fretboard.
Seymour Duncan Pickups
The SG-1802 is installed with two Cream covered P-90 Seymour Duncan pickups, both fitted in the neck and bridge. The Seymour Duncan P-90 pickups deliver a vintage tone and with more bite than you would expect from standard single coils. The dual alnico 5 magnets features distinctive mids and a high output, with warmth and clarity, for fat chunky chording. The combination of these two pickups gives the Yamaha a wholly historic-edged output, perfect for a range of genres and guitar led tunes.
Tone Pro Stability
Featuring a Tone Pro Bridge and Saddle set-up, and with Grover Locking Tuners, the string and tuning stability on this instrument is first class. This instills confidence in the player whether they're performing on stage, mastering that tricky lick or chugging out a chord progression.
