Terms of Service

By accessing and using visionsounds.co.za, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before placing an order.

1. About Us

VisionSounds operates visionsounds.co.za as an online retail store for professional camera equipment, audio and audiovisual systems in South Africa.

VisionSounds operates as an independent parallel importer and reseller. We are not an authorised distributor for the brands we stock, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as an agent for any manufacturer. Products are supplied genuine, and warranty support is provided by VisionSounds as set out in clause 6.

2. Products and Pricing

  • All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT at 15%.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders where prices were displayed incorrectly.
  • Product images are for illustrative purposes. Actual products may vary slightly.
  • Technical specifications are supplied by the manufacturer and are subject to change without notice.

3. Orders and Payment

We accept the following payment methods:

  • EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) — Direct bank transfer to our South African bank account.
  • Cross Border Transfer — For customers in neighbouring SADC countries.
  • Wire Transfer — For international commercial clients.

Orders are confirmed once payment has been received and verified. Where an item is unavailable or cannot be supplied at the price or within the timeframe indicated, we will contact you to offer an alternative, a revised timeframe, or a full refund. We will not process your order without your agreement to any change.

4. Shipping

We offer free nationwide delivery across South Africa. Estimated delivery timeframes are provided as a guide only and are not guaranteed. Full details are on our Shipping Policy page.

5. Condition of Goods

Products are supplied either new or pre-owned. Pre-owned, demo and secondhand items are clearly identified as such in the product title and listing, and are sold in used condition. Cosmetic wear consistent with prior use is to be expected on these items.

6. Warranty

Warranty support on all products sold by VisionSounds is provided directly by VisionSounds. Warranty terms are stated on each product listing. Warranty claims must be directed to VisionSounds and not to the manufacturer or its authorised distributors.

This warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, including the six-month implied warranty of quality on all goods.

7. Returns and Refunds

Our returns and refund policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Act 68 of 2008. Full details are available on our Returns & Refund Policy page.

8. Installation & Professional Use

Installation, mounting, calibration and commissioning are not included in the purchase price unless expressly quoted. Certain products exceed 100 kg or require professional installation. It remains the customer's responsibility to ensure that mounting structures, electrical supply and operating environment are suitable for the product purchased.

9. Consumer Protection

Your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa are not limited by these terms. In the event of any conflict between these terms and the CPA, the CPA prevails.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on visionsounds.co.za — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of VisionSounds or its content suppliers and is protected by copyright law. Manufacturer brand names, trademarks and product images are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only. Reproduction without written consent is prohibited.

11. Limitation of Liability

VisionSounds shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or services beyond the purchase price of the relevant product, to the maximum extent permitted by South African law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
