Returns & Refund Policy

At VisionSounds, we want to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. Our returns and refund policy is fully aligned with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Act 68 of 2008, and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) of South Africa.

1. Return Window

You have the right to return most products within 7 days from the date of physical delivery for an exchange or a full refund.

To be eligible for a standard return, the product must meet the following criteria:

  • The item must be in its original, unused, and unaltered condition.

  • The item must be enclosed in its complete original packaging, including all accessories, cables, manuals, and documentation.

  • The return must be accompanied by the original order number or proof of purchase.

2. Return Logistics & Methods

All returns must be shipped back via a trackable door-to-door courier service.

  • Return Address: Once your return request is approved, we will provide you with a specific Return Authorization Number and our central receiving physical warehouse address in South Africa to ensure secure courier delivery.

  • Drop-offs: We do not accept unarranged walk-in returns or drop-offs at our corporate office. All returns must go through our authorized courier flow.

3. Return Shipping Costs & Fees

  • Defective, Faulty, or Incorrect Items: If a product arrives damaged, defective, or does not match your order specification, VisionSounds will cover 100% of the return courier costs. We will either arrange a collection or reimburse your courier fee.

  • Change of Mind Returns: If you change your mind about a purchase, you are responsible for booking and paying for the trackable courier service to return the item to our warehouse.

  • Restocking Fees: VisionSounds does not charge any restocking fees for items returned in their original, unopened condition within the standard return window.

4. Non-Returnable Items (Exclusions)

Please note that standard "Change of Mind" returns cannot be accepted for the following items:

  • Products that have been physically damaged, misused, or neglected after delivery.

  • Software, license keys, pre-activated digital items, or memory cards where the security seal has been broken or opened.

  • Custom-built, specialized, or custom-ordered hardware configurations.

5. Faulty or Defective Products (Warranty)

If your equipment is discovered to be faulty or defective upon opening, please contact us immediately within 7 days of delivery.

  • In strict compliance with the CPA, we will validate the defect and arrange for a swift replacement, repair, or full refund at zero additional cost to you.

  • For defects discovered after the initial 7-day window, the item will be handled under its official manufacturer or supplier warranty terms. VisionSounds will facilitate this warranty claim process on your behalf to get your gear running.

6. Step-by-Step Return Process

To initiate a return, you must follow this sequence:

  1. Email info@visionsounds.co.za or visit our Contact page with your original order number and details regarding the item you wish to return.

  2. Our team will review your request and issue a Return Authorization Number (RAN) alongside the precise shipping instructions within 1–2 business days.

  3. Pack the item securely into a protective transit box to ensure no damage occurs during courier transit.

  4. Dispatch the package using a trackable courier service and share the tracking number with us.

7. Refund Processing & Timelines

Once your return shipment is received at our facility, our technicians will inspect the product condition within 2 business days.

  • Upon approval, your refund will be finalized.

  • Since we operate via secure manual payment channels, all approved refunds are issued via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) straight to your verified bank account.

  • EFT payments are processed on our end within 5–7 business days of return approval. You will receive an official payment notification, though individual bank clearance times may vary.
