The Onassis recliner from Italian craft house Vismara Design is one of the most architecturally striking pieces in the world of private cinema seating. Engineered for dedicated home theatres, executive lounges, and private screening rooms, it pairs the technical resilience of a high-cycle motorised reclining mechanism with the visual restraint of polished Makassar ebony — a combination that reads as serious furniture first and a recliner second.

Materials & craftsmanship

Frame: hand-finished polished Makassar ebony on the seatback and sides, lending a refined nautical character that sits comfortably in formal interiors.
Upholstery: fine-grained full-grain leather as standard. Premium leathers, technical fabrics, and bespoke client-supplied covers are all available on request.
Detailing: the armrest carries a geometric quilted pattern that runs its full length — a quiet design signature that tells you you're sitting in something serious.
Reclining mechanism: one of the most durable motorised mechanisms on the market, rated for tens of thousands of cycles and tested for silent operation.
